CCAA is on Mission

Political-World-Map-3360.jpg

Many graduates and students who attended Clarke College were instilled
with an awareness of the importance of telling, showing, going, doing and
supporting missions. After all, Jesus Himself said to His disciples (us) “Go
into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and
is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
Mark 16: 15-16 NIV.

Who can forget the efforts of students, faculty and staff working together
to achieve and exceed the goal for the Lottie Moon Star. Or the missionary
speakers in chapel. Or the youth teams going into the world around us every

weekend to preach, sing, testify and fellowship with hundreds of
churches , many in out-of-the-way places. Many of us were involved in BSU or
other Baptist organization-sponsored summer missions projects throughout
Mississippi and throughout the United States. Those experiences filled us with
wonder, with excitement, with purpose and with fulfillment as we employed the
tools and lessons learned at Clarke College and put them to work on mission
fields everywhere.

Some Clarke College students became career international or home missionaries.
Others engaged in missions trips at home and around the world. Many contributed
and still support missions through their local churches, holding dear – and
important – their sacred obligation to sacrificially give in support of missions.

However you participated in missions efforts on campus or later in life, we’d like to
hear your story. Send your stories and pictures to us at clarkecollegealumniassociation@gmail.com,
and tell us how the experience enriched and changed your life. You will encourage
others as they read your accounts and allow Jesus to work through them to keep on
telling, showing, going, doing and supporting missions.
